WoW SoD Balance Druid Talents & Runes

The DPS build as a caster Druid Druid is primarily based on the spell Wrath Wrath. With the talent Improved Wrath Improved Wrath you reduce the casting time and with the rune Fury of Stormrage Fury of Stormrage Wrath Wrath also costs no mana. Otherwise, there isn’t much scope in the talent tree until level 25.

The Pre-Raid BiS List contains the best items you can get as a Balance Druid Druid, outside of the raid “Blackfathom Deeps”. The BiS list is optimized for phase 1 of Season of Discovery.

You can change the Suffix “of Natur’s Wrath” to “of Arcane Wrath”. Half your damage profits from nature damage and the other half from arcane damage. For PvP, “of Arcane Wrath” is often the better choice.

SoD BiS List for Balance Druids

The following Balance Druid Druid BiS List contains the best items you can get in phase 1 of Season of Discovery. You need to get loot from the 10-man raid “Blackfathom Deeps and do PvP to get the very best items in the game.

Note: from a pure damage perspective a chest with the suffix “of Natur’s Wrath” (+16) combined with Rakkamar's Tattered Thinking Cap Rakkamar's Tattered Thinking Cap is around 2 spell damage ahead but you’d lose 19 Stamina and 12 Intellect. If the tradeoff is worth it to you, try to get a Dervish Tunic Dervish Tunic, Wrangler's Wraps Wrangler's Wraps, or Superior Tunic Superior Tunic of Natur’s Wrath.

Balance Druid Stat Priority

As a Balance Druid Druid you want to prioritize gear with the following stats:

  • Spell Hit Chance (up to 6% against enemies 2 levels above you like raid bosses in BFD)
  • Spell Critical Hit
  • Spell Damage = Arcane Damage = Nature Damage
  • Intellect

    • After having 6% hit chance when fighting against bosses in Blackfathom Deeps, Spell Hit Chance loses its value and other stats become better. You’ll reach already 5% with Blackfathom Mana Oil Blackfathom Mana Oil and Boon of Blackfathom Boon of Blackfathom.
