Students attend classes at Florence University of the Arts (FUA), which is located in the historic city center of Florence. The university offers the latest technologies and resources to its community of students and faculty, including Wi-Fi connections throughout all facilities.
Participants in this Semester Abroad program have access to the many departments at FUA, which feature an exceptionally broad and stimulating curriculum available through diverse areas of studies and academic disciplines. They are attracted mostly to courses in art history and studio art, Italian, history, fashion marketing, digital media and communications, and religion.
Students are required to take a 3-credit course in either the Italian language or culture, plus 4 additional content courses taught in English, for a total of up to 15 credits. They also have the opportunity to replace one of their FUA courses with an internship (in specific major fields of study worth 3 credits) that involves 12 to 15 work hours a week.
