Qualifications for Spirit's Independent Teacher Program in the USA require that you:
• Have a confirmed position with a US school
• Are qualified to teach at a primary or secondary level in your home country
• Are currently teaching full-time OR received an advanced applicable degree within the last 12 months and have 2 years of full-time teaching experience
• Hold a degree equivalent to a US Bachelor's degree or higher in either Education or the academic subject you intend to teach
• Have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience
• Are able to meet certification standards in the US state where the school is located
• Possess advanced proficiency in English
Program Highlights
Gain valuable experience in the USA as a temporary exchange teacher at an American school for one to three years.
Teach 32 hours per week with a salary equivalent to American teachers with similar qualifications.
