BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A recent scam has been reported around Boise Tuesday of a fake concrete contractor targeting the realtor community.
"We’ve just heard of a scam targeting a concrete contractor where the scammer asks for a bid for work on a home that is listed or was recently listed," said Boise Regional Realtors, "then asks the contractor/company to make a payment with the promise they will pay them back."
All companies, contractors, owners and buyers should be aware of the contractors they are calling.
"Please be aware of this scam and encourage any companies and contractors to call you (as the listing agent) or the owner of the property to independently confirm that a bid was requested," BRR said.
